Is your website ready for Google and AI search? This free tool reads your page the way ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's crawlers do, and scores how well they can understand and quote you: your structured data, FAQ markup, question content, whether the page is readable at all, and whether you have an llms.txt. Plain English, and what each gap costs you.
Checks one page at a time. Try your home page first, then a service page.
Structured data is a block of code sitting in your page that no visitor will ever see. It exists to tell machines, plainly and without ambiguity, what your business is called, where it works, when it is open and what it sells. Everything else on your page is written for humans and has to be interpreted. This part is written for software and is simply read.
The trouble is that it fails silently. If there is a stray comma or a comment left in the block, it stops being valid and gets thrown away. No error appears in your browser. Nothing looks wrong on the page. Your web designer will not spot it, because it renders exactly the same either way. Sites carry broken markup for years and nobody finds out.
That matters more now than it used to. When someone asks an AI assistant for a plumber in their town, the assistant is working from what it can read, and structured data is the cleanest thing to read on any page. A business that has stated its details clearly gets quoted. One that left it to inference often does not.
It is how well Google and AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity can read, understand and quote your site. This tool checks the things that decide that: valid structured data, a clear business identity, question-and-answer content they can lift, whether the page is readable at all without JavaScript, and whether you publish an llms.txt.
Because it fails silently. A page can look perfect to a person and still be nearly invisible to machines. Broken or missing structured data produces no visible error, and a page built entirely by JavaScript can show a crawler almost nothing. You only find out when you notice you are not being found or quoted, which is exactly why a checker is worth running.
It is a short plain-text file that tells AI tools what your business is and points them to your key pages. It is new and optional: the major AI crawlers have not confirmed they read it yet, so treat it as a nice-to-have, not a must. This tool checks for it as a small bonus, never as a make-or-break.
It overlaps, but the focus is different. This looks at what machines can actually extract, for Google and for AI assistants: structured data, answer-shaped content, and whether your page is readable without JavaScript. It is about being understood and quoted, not only ranked.
No. It reads your page and tells you what is holding it back in plain English. Making the changes means editing your site or asking whoever built it. If you would rather it was just handled, that is what the Visibility Tune-Up is for.
Structured data is one part of it. These free tools cover the others.
