Privacy Policy: "Can customers reach you?" Chrome extension
Last updated: 13 August 2026
The short version: this extension collects nothing, stores nothing and sends nothing anywhere. There is no long version hiding below. The rest of this page just spells that out.
What the extension does
When you click the extension icon, it reads the page you are currently viewing and checks whether a customer could easily get in touch with the business it belongs to: phone links, email addresses, contact forms, opening hours and so on. The results appear in the popup, and that is the end of the process.
What data is collected
None. The extension has no analytics, no tracking, no error reporting and no accounts. It does not record which pages you check, when you check them, or what the results were. It contains no code that talks to our servers or anyone else's.
Where the analysis happens
Entirely on your computer, inside your browser. The page content it reads never leaves the tab it was read from. The one network request the extension can make is asking the same website you are already on for its own page code, so it can compare what you see with what search engines see. That request goes to the site you are viewing and nowhere else.
What is stored
Nothing. The extension does not use browser storage. Close the popup and the results are gone. There is no history of what you have checked, anywhere.
Permissions, and why they are needed
The extension asks for the two narrowest permissions Chrome offers for this kind of tool. "activeTab" grants access to the current tab only, and only at the moment you click the icon. "scripting" lets it run its checks on that page. It cannot see your other tabs, your browsing history or anything you have not explicitly pointed it at.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the extension ever changes any of the above, this page will say so before that version is released, and the change will be listed in the extension's update notes.
