1. Who We Are

BAV Tech Solutions Ltd ("we", "our", "us") is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, UK.

2. What Data We Collect

We only collect data that you voluntarily provide. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Contact form: your name, email address, and any message content.
• Free tools (e.g. GBP Grader): your name, email address, and business name, if you choose to unlock a full report.
• Business information you enter into tools: business type, location, and self-reported answers. For the tools that run entirely in your browser, this is processed on your own device and never reaches our servers at all.
• Website addresses you submit to our checking tools: the Contact Checker, Schema Checker, Alt Text Checker, AI Readiness Checker and Landing Page Conversion Scanner need to fetch the page you give them, so the address you enter is sent to our server. See section 3 for exactly what happens to it.
• Landing Page Conversion Scanner, if you ask for the written report: your email address, the web address you scanned, the score and band that scan produced, the monthly advertising spend if you chose to enter one, the fact that you ticked the consent box, and the date and time. We also record the country your request came from. This is the one free tool where what you give us is stored in a database rather than only emailed to us, so it is set out separately in section 3.
• First Impression Audit (paid): the web address you asked us to audit, your email address as provided to Stripe at checkout, screenshots of the publicly visible page taken during the audit, and the recorded outcomes of that one visit. Payment itself is handled entirely by Stripe: your card details are entered on Stripe's own pages and never reach our systems at all.
• Your IP address, used briefly by our checking tools to apply a rate limit and stop the service being abused. It is used to count recent requests and is not stored against you or used to identify you. The Landing Page Conversion Scanner records the country your request came from, but not the address itself.

We do not collect any sensitive personal data and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. How We Collect Your Data

We collect data through the following means:

• Contact and enquiry forms on this website, including the email capture on our free tools, are handled by our own Cloudflare Worker and delivered to us by email using Resend (resend.com). Your submission is formatted, emailed to us and discarded. It is not stored on this website or in any database. Resend processes the message in order to deliver it. See their policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  
  Where a tool offers to email you a copy of your report, what we receive is your email address, the web address you checked, and the list of findings. We do not receive a copy of your page.
  
  Until August 2026 these forms were handled by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) and, on the Google Business Profile Grader, by Formspree (formspree.io). Neither is used any more. Anything you sent through them was emailed to us at the time and was not retained by either service.
• The one exception is the Landing Page Conversion Scanner's written report. That is the only form on this site whose details are saved to a database rather than only emailed to us, because we need them to write the report and reply. It is set out in the two entries below.
• Our website checking tools (Contact Checker, Schema Checker, Alt Text Checker, AI Readiness Checker and Landing Page Conversion Scanner) run on Cloudflare Workers. When you submit an address, our server fetches that page, reads it in memory, works out the findings and discards it. The content of the page you check is never saved, never written to a database and never logged. For every tool except the Landing Page Conversion Scanner, the findings are simply returned to your browser and are gone when you close the tab.
• The Landing Page Conversion Scanner stores two things, and it is worth being exact about both. First, its findings. Because the scan involves a Google PageSpeed test that takes up to half a minute, the findings and the address you scanned are kept in Cloudflare KV for 24 hours, so scanning the same page again that day is instant. That store holds the findings and the address, never the content of your page, and it deletes itself automatically after 24 hours. No email address is attached to it. Second, if you tick the consent box and ask for the written report, the details listed in section 2 are saved to a Cloudflare D1 database so we can write the report and reply to you. That database can only be written to by the tool. There is no page, login or web address anywhere on this site that can read it back.
• The report email is sent using Resend (resend.com), an email delivery service, from our mail.bavtechsolutions.com domain. Resend processes the message in order to deliver it. See their policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Google PageSpeed Insights. Two of the scanner's checks measure loading speed and tap target sizes, which we do not measure ourselves. To do that, the web address you entered is sent to Google PageSpeed Insights, which loads your page and returns its measurements. Only the address is sent. Nothing about you is sent with it.
• Server request logs. Like almost any web service, our checking tool keeps short-term technical logs of the requests made to it, which include the address you asked us to check, your IP address and the time. These are held by Cloudflare for a few days for diagnosing faults and preventing abuse, then deleted automatically. They are not used to build a profile of you.
• Tools that never send us anything. The Image Compressor, Schema Generator, Logo Background Remover, QR Code Generator and Invoice Generator run entirely inside your browser. Your images, business details and documents are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. You can confirm this by disconnecting from the internet once the page has loaded: they still work.
• The First Impression Audit, if you buy one. Stripe processes the payment and passes us your email address and the payment reference. Our audit service then makes one ordinary visit to the page you nominated, stores its screenshots and recorded outcomes with Cloudflare, and emails your private report link to you using Resend, our email delivery provider. The report lives at a long random address known only to you and us.

4. Why We Use Your Data

We use the data you provide for the following purposes:

• To respond to your enquiry or request.
• To follow up regarding your use of one of our free tools and offer relevant assistance.
• To provide the services or information you have requested.

Lawful basis: Where you tick a consent checkbox, we rely on consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). For general business enquiries and follow-ups, we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), specifically our interest in responding to prospective customers.

The Landing Page Conversion Scanner specifically. The consent box on that tool covers one thing: writing and sending you the report you asked for, and replying if you write back about it. It is not a subscription to anything and there is nothing to unsubscribe from. If you give us a monthly advertising figure, we use it to understand what the findings are costing you and to judge how much help you are likely to need. You are not obliged to give it and the tool works the same without it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, and we will delete the record.

We will never sell or rent your data. The only marketing-related sharing is the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel described in the Cookie Policy below, which loads only if you choose to accept it.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected , typically the duration of our business relationship or enquiry, plus a reasonable period afterwards. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so promptly.

Some things are much shorter than that. The pages fetched by our checking tools are held only in memory for the few seconds a check takes and are never written down at all. The technical request logs described in section 3 are kept by Cloudflare for a few days and then deleted automatically. The Landing Page Conversion Scanner's 24 hour store of findings deletes itself after 24 hours without anyone doing anything.

Report requests made through the Landing Page Conversion Scanner are kept for up to 24 months from the date you asked, so we can write your report, follow up on it and answer you if you come back to us later. After that they are deleted. If you would like yours removed sooner, email [email protected] and we will delete it, normally the same working day.

First Impression Audit reports, including their screenshots, are kept for up to 24 months from purchase so you can revisit, reprint and share your own report. After that they are deleted. If you would like yours removed sooner, email [email protected] from the address you bought with and we will delete the report, its screenshots and your details, normally the same working day.

6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access, request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction, ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
• Erasure, ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restriction, ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Objection, object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Portability, request your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent, where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).

7. Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit.

By default, our website and free tools use only strictly necessary cookies , those required for basic security and hosting functions. The one exception is our advertising landing pages (such as the free mockup request page), which offer a Meta (Facebook) pixel. That is a non-essential marketing cookie, so it only loads if you accept it on the cookie banner. Decline, and no advertising or tracking cookies are set.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages and tools are actually being used. It is deliberately chosen because it is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. It records aggregate figures such as page views, referring site and country. Because it stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you, no consent banner is required for it. See cloudflare.com/web-analytics.

On the pages we use as advertising landing pages (such as our free mockup request page), we offer the Meta (Facebook) pixel. If you accept it, it sets a cookie (_fbp) and tells Meta that you visited the page and whether you submitted the form, so we can measure and improve our ads. It does not load unless you choose Accept on the cookie banner; choose Decline and it never runs. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. If we introduce any further tool that sets cookies or tracks you, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

8. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend you review their privacy policies separately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to check back periodically.
